BUFFALO — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Nicholas Baptiste from the Rochester Americans (AHL).
Baptiste (6’1”, 206 lbs., 8/4/1995) recorded a goal and an assist in Rochester’s season-opener last night against the Hershey Bears. The Ottawa, Ontario native tallied two points (1+1) in two preseason games with the Sabres in September.
The Sabres’ third-round selection (69th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft, Baptiste made his professional debut with Rochester in the 2015-16 season, ranking third among Amerks rookies with 28 points (13+15) in 62 games.
