BUFFALO — The men’s and women’s cross country team traveled to Delaware Park in Buffalo, NY Saturday to compete in the Canisius Classic. The women posted a fifth place finish, while the men finished in fourth.

Leading the way for the women, was freshman Meghan LaTuso. LaTuso clocked in at 19:17.8, enough for a 17th place finish. Her time beat 18th place by almost three seconds. Narrowly missing out on a Top-20 finish was freshman, Juliet Hull. She took home a 23rd place finish with a time of 19:45.6.

The men finished fourth overall with John McCarthy crossing the finish line first for the Bulls. He placed 6th overall with a time of 25:53.5, beating 7th place by 4.5 seconds. Joining McCarthy in a Top-10 finish was Daniel Muldoon. He was able to sneak into a 10th place finish with a time of 26:13.1. Also performing well for Buffalo was Barrett Kemp. Kemp ran as an unattached runner, and took away a 4th place finish with a time of 25:34.3.

The cross country team begins their preparation for the MAC Championships on Saturday, October 29th.
