SHERMAN — The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation into drug use and sales occurring at the Blue Heron Music Festival from July 4 – 8.
The Chautauqua County District Attorney, NY State Police Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), Sheriff’s Department drug investigators, Uniform Troopers and Deputies took part in this investigation. These departments were assisted by members of the Jamestown Police Department, NYS DEC Forest Rangers and Chautauqua County Probation.
In all, more than 30 people were arrested for over 70 charges.

The following property and drugs were seized:

Law enforcement have listed some of the more serious charges:
Philabelle McCarthy-Shields, 33, of Buffalo, and Alexis Matuszewski, 22, of Buffalo were each arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hallucinogen), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (11 counts), Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, less than 17. Additional charges are possible
Joshua Paterson, 31, of South Dayton, and Danielle Johnston, 25, of South Dayton were each arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hallucinogen) 4th degree and Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree.
Derek Gramling, 29, of Cumming, Georgia and Steven Bicks, 36, of Madison, Indiana were charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 4th degree (LSD) and several additional drug charges.
Brian Christina, 50, of Fredonia, Lamont Brown, 31, of Fredonia, Andrew Sobilo, 30, of Fredonia, and Loren Dumen, 31, of Dunkirk, were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Intent to sell) a Class B Felony and additional drug charges.
