NIAGARA UNIV. — The Niagara women’s soccer team plays its final game of the season on Wednesday when it hosts Marist at 3 p.m.

Niagara took on Iona on Saturday when the Gaels defeated the Purple Eagles 2-1. The Gaels got on the board first, scoring in the 30th minute to give themselves a 1-0 lead. Niagara answered quickly. Bicknell scored her second goal of the season on a long shot which deflected off the goalkeeper’s hands and went into the net to tie the score 1-1. Iona put the game away in the 80th minute, scoring the final goal of the match.

Niagara and Marist last met on Oct. 28, 2015. The Red Foxes defeated the Purple Eagles, 1-0.
