The Buffalo State women’s soccer team continued its climb up the national rankings, moving up three spots to No. 19 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll released today, the first top 20, and highest ranking ever in program history.

Buffalo State also remained third in the East region for the third-straight week, trailing just William Smith College (15-0) and Stevens Institute of Technology (13-1).

William Smith was named the No. 1 team in Division III for the third-straight week, with Williams College, Trinity University (Texas), Thomas More, and The College of New Jersey rounding out the top five.

The Bengals (14-1-2) finished SUNYAC play a perfect 9-0 after defeating Oneonta and New Paltz over the weekend.  It is the second-straight season that Buffalo State has won the SUNYAC regular season title, earning the tournament’s first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the conference playoffs.

The Bengals conclude the regular season with a home, non-conference match against St. John Fisher Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Buffalo State will then host the winner of No. 4 Plattsburgh and No. 5 Oswego in the SUNYAC Semifinals on Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. at Coyer Field.
