Howard L. Sherry passed away on Wednesday November 23, 2016 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Shamokin, PA., on July 28, 1927, he was the son of the late Howard and Margaret Ford Sherry. Howard worked in production for GM Powertrain in Tonawanda for over 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Rapids Bible Church, where he was a Deacon and enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a handyman for many of his family and friends.
Howard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Stella (nee Ensinger) Sherry; father of Howard (Jacqueline Oehler) Sherry and Cheryl (Terrence) Krentz. Grandfather of six and great grandfather of thirteen, Howard was also the brother of seven siblings and is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday Nov. 27th 1-4 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport and on Monday morning 9-11 AM in the Rapids Bible Church, 7209 Rapids Road, Lockport, NY 14094, where services will immediately follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials to the Church or to VNA of WNY, 2100 Werhle Drive, Buffalo, NY 14221, would be appreciated by the family.
