BEREA, Ohio—Buffalo State swept the scoring in the 400-meter dash and claimed four first-place finishes, placing second of six teams today at the Dr. William Taraschke Classic at Baldwin Wallace.

The Bengals dominated the 400-meter dash, taking all six scoring places, led by Tiffany Raymond (Baldwin/Baldwin) with a time of 1:02.76.  Brittany Higgs (Buffalo/Olmstead) was second (1:02.92), and Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) was third (1:03.16). Kordrupel also won the 1,000-meter run, clocking 3:07.47. Dayonna Holmes (Rochester/Charlotte) posted a victory in the long jump with a mark of 5.16 meters. Kayleigh Bystrak (Alden/Iroquois) picked up 10 points for the Bengals, crossing first in a match race in the 500-meters with a time of 1:27.86. Mackenzie Myott (S. Glens Falls/S. Glens Falls) was runner-up in the pole vault, clearing 2.75 meters. Satin Holmes (Rochester/Wilson Magnet) turned in a pair of third-place finishes in the 55-meter dash (7.50) and in the 200-meter dash (27.79). Elizabeth Wall (Horseheads/Horseheads) was third in the 3,000-meter run (11:31.56). Buffalo State finished with 102 points.  Baldwin Wallace placed first with a score of 195.

Buffalo State will travel to Mount Union next Saturday for the Jim Wuske Invitational.
