BEREA, Ohio — Buffalo State captured seven events and placed second of six teams today at the Dr. William Taraschke Classic at Baldwin Wallace.
Robert Alexis (Middletown/Middletown) was a double-winner to lead Buffalo State, claiming the triple jump (12.80m) and the high jump (1.85m). Darren Thompson (Buffalo/St. Joe’s) won the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.53 seconds and was runner-up in the 200-meter dash (22.96). Mohamed Kouyate (Bronx/Dreamyard Prep) posted a victory in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.92.
Chris Duhaney (Hempstead/Uniondale) won the 55-meter hurdles in 8.05 seconds. Cody Lambert (Kenmore/Kenmore West) earned a victory in the long jump with a mark of 6.30 meters. Cody Sikora (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) crossed first in the 500-meter run in 1:07.72. Mitch Rabold (Amherst/Sweet Home) added a second-place finish in the mile (4:33.76), and Richard Arnaud (W. Henrietta/Rush-Henrietta) was third in the long jump (6.13m). Buffalo State finished with 129 points. Baldwin Wallace finished first with 192 points.
Buffalo State will visit Mount Union next Saturday for the Jim Wuske Invitational.
