Walter G. Baker passed away on Friday January 27, 2017 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born July 30, 1932 in Lockport, NY, he was the son Walter E. and Dorothea Steves Baker.
He served in the US Navy from 1955 until 1958, and then in the US Air Reserves, 107th and 914th in Niagara Falls for over 20 years. Walter retired from Niagara County Highway Dept., working for over 30 years, and was a member of the Gasport Chemical Hose Company for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lois (nee Babcock) Baker; father of James, John (Carol), Patricia Daunce and Paula (Dennis) Tonnon; 7 seven grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Walter is also survived by his sister Nancy (Kenneth) Kelkenberg.
Friends may call on Wednesday February 1st , 9-11 AM, where services will immediately follow at 11 AM, at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.
