A 44-year-old resident of the Cattaraugus Indian Territory was charged Sunday with DWI, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and other related offenses by New York State Police.

According to NYSP, Troopers located a vehicle in a ditch on Indian Hill Road on the Cattaraugus Indian Territory around 12:08 a.m. Sunday. The operator, Lewrence R. Henhawk, was determined to be intoxicated and in possession of two packages of cocaine.

Henhawk was arraigned before the Town of Perrysburg court and released on his own recognizance.
