Buffalo State set a school-record with 17 wins and made program history during the 2016 season, winning its first-ever SUNYAC title and advancing to the NCAA tournament for the first time.  The Bengals finished the season 17-1-3 overall and were ranked 21st in the final NSCAA national poll.

The Bengals also swept the SUNYAC end-of-season awards.  Senior Melissa Smith (N. The team will be honored on the court at halftime of Friday’s men’s basketball against Cortland, and the banners will be hung in the rafters. The game begins at 5:30 p.m. with the halftime festivities taking place a little after 6 p.m.
