BUFFALO — The Purple Eagles’ swimming and diving teams wrapped up the first of four days of the 2017 MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships Wednesday evening at the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo. Both the men’s and women’s teams took part in the 200 medley relay and 800 free relay, while the men’s divers competed on the 1-meter board to open the championships.
At the end of the first day of competition, the Niagara men sit fourth out of 10 teams with 77 points, while the women are in sixth place out of 10 with 52 points. The MAAC also announced the 2017 MAAC Swimming & Diving All-Academic Teams on Wednesday, with 16 Purple Eagles earning All-Academic accolades.
