POUGHKEEPSIE — Niagara University will head to McCann Center on Sunday to take on the Marist Red Foxes at 2 p.m.

Niagara fell to crosstown rival Canisius, 52-41, in the second installment of the Battle of the Bridge on Friday. Victoria Rampado led the Purple Eagles in scoring with 20 points and in rebounding with seven rebounds. Kaylee Stroemple added 11 points for the Purple Eagles and Adila Gathers recorded a career-high five rebounds and two blocks.

Redshirt-junior forward Rampado leads the Purple Eagles in scoring with 16.5 points per game and in rebounding with 7.9 rebounds per game. Rampado is second in the MAAC in both scoring and rebounding. Junior forward Stroemple also averages in double figure scoring with 12.6 points per game. Stroemple has the third-best field goal percentage in the MAAC; she is 121-for-238 for a percentage of 50.8. Jamie Sherburne, a junior guard, has the eighth-most assists in the MAAC with 2.9 assists per game. Niagara is second in the MAAC in 3-point field goal percentage; the team is 134-for-416 (32.2%), is second in free throw percentage (75.0%) and is fourth in the MAAC in overall field goal percentage (39.5%).

Freshman guard Rebekah Hand leads the Red Foxes in scoring with 13.1 points per game and in rebounding with 6.6 rebounds per game. Hand is 10th in the MAAC in scoring and ninth in rebounding. She also has the second-best free throw percentage in the MAAC (82.1%). Hannah Hand, a freshman guard, leads Marist in assists with 3.0 per game, which also ranks her sixth in the MAAC. Hand leads the MAAC in 3-point field goal percentage; she is 41-for-99 for a percentage of 41.4. The Red Foxes have the best free throw percentage (78.8%) in the conference. The team is third in the MAAC in assists (14.6 assists per game), fifth in 3-points field goal percentage (31.3%) and are the fifth-highest scoring offense with 62.4 points per game.

The Purple Eagles host Siena for their annual pink game on Thursday at 7 p.m.
