WEST POINT — The University at Buffalo men’s tennis team put forth a strong performance on Saturday afternoon as the Bulls defeated Army, 6-1. UB won two of the three doubles contests and five of six in singles. Buffalo improved to 2-3 with the win.

The Bulls clinched the doubles point with victories at two and three. At second doubles, Filip Grbic and Villhelm Fridell came away with an easy 6-1 win and at third doubles Ethan Nittolo and Tony Miller won 6-4.
Army won at first singles in a super tiebreaker, but the Bulls took the other five contests, all in straight sets. Freshman Hao Sheng Koay moved up to second singles where he came away with a dominating 6-1, 6-0 victory. Grbic won 6-3, 6-4 at third singles and Fridell won 6-4, 6-1 at fourth singles.
UB also picked up wins at five and six as Vodak won 6-2, 7-6 at five and Nittolo won 6-0, 6-3 at six.
The Bulls will return to action tomorrow when they face UConn at 9am at West Point.
