WILLIAMSVILLE — The University at Buffalo men’s tennis team made the most of their home opener on Sunday afternoon as the Bulls dominated their match against Quinnipiac, 7-0, for UB’s second straight victory.

The Bulls won all three doubles matches beginning at second doubles where Petr Vodak and Vidit Vaghela won 6-2.  Ethan Nittolo and Tony Miller then won at third doubles, 6-3, while Villhelm Fridell and Filip Grbic won at first doubles, 7-6 (5).

In singles, Vodak won at four, 6-4, 6-0, while Hao Sheng Koay won at first singles, 6-4, 6-1 and Grbic won at third singles 6-2, 7-6 (3), which clinched the match for UB.  The Bulls continued their dominance at two as Vaghela won 7-5, 7-5.

Nittolo and Miller completed the sweep for the Bulls as Nittolo had a 6-0, 6-2 victory at five and Miller won at six, 7-5, 6-1.


The Bulls will return to the road next Saturday when they face Cleveland State at 10 a.m.
