NIAGARA UNIV. — The Purple Eagles men’s golf team begins its spring schedule at the Lafayette Invitational in Hellertown, Pa. on April 1-2.
The Purple Eagles completed the fall portion of their schedule in October 2016. The team competed in the Navy Fall Classic, the Little 3 Championship and the Binghamton Invitational, as well as winning a match with crosstown rival Canisius.
Following the Lafayette Invitational, the team will compete in the Robert Morris Colonial Classic (April 9-11) and the Rhode Island Invitational (April 16-18). The MAAC Championships will be held April 20-23 at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course in Orlando, Fla.
In the preseason coaches’ poll, Niagara received 27 points and was picked to finish eighth.
