LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Niagara men’s golf team completed the first round of the MAAC Championships on Friday. The team carded a 330 (+42) total and is in ninth place after the first round of play.
Christian Nizamis led Niagara, firing an 81 (+9) through the first 18 holes. Nizamis is in a four-way tie for 29th place.
Ben Conroy is tied for 33rd place. He carded an 82 (+10). Nicco Gentile shot 83 (+11) and is in 36th place.
Daniel Weimer and Ryan Mihok rounded out the Niagara group. Weimer carded an 84 (+12) and is tied for 37th place and Mihok shot 86 (+14) and is tied for 41st.
The team will play the second round of the tournament on Saturday and the third and final round on Sunday.
