JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Purple Eagles rolled past the Saint Peter’s Peacocks, 7-0, on Saturday.
Niagara won all nine matches played. In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Felipe Fuentes and Francis Nadeau eased to a 6-1 win to improve to 3-3 in conference matches. In two doubles, Josh Wilson and Lukas Wenninger won their match, 6-1. Jason Wisley and Taylan Ozdemir improved to 2-0 in MAAC matches with a 6-4 win in three doubles. Ozdemir won his team-leading 12th match of the season, defeating Andres Rojas 6-3, 6-0 in two singles. Fuentes, Wilson and Lukas Wenninger all won their respective matches in straight sets. Nadeau rallied from a set down to beat Douglas Nover in three singles, and Chris Grossi outlasted Coung Lam in six singles.
Niagara wraps up the regular season at Siena on Sunday.
