LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Niagara women’s golf team completed the MAAC Championships on Sunday, finishing in seventh place. The team carded a three-round total of 1,012 (+148).

Emily Doyle led Niagara, finishing tied for 17th place. She fired an 82 (+10) in round three for a 54-hole total of 246 (+30).
Daniella Hopper carded an 87 (+15) in the final round. She finished tied for 26th place with a total score of 255 (+39).
Selena Cerra jumped up three spots on the leaderboard to finish in 30th place. She carded a tournament-best 82 (+10) in the final round for a three-day total of 257 (+41).
Marissa Del Monaco and Sarah Godfrey finished in 32nd and 33rd places, respectively. Del Monaco carded a 261 (+45) total and Godfrey shot 263 (+47).
The MAAC announced the 2017 All-Academic teams following the final round of play. Four Purple Eagles were honored: Cerra, Doyle, Allison Emborsky and Britteny Purcell.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
The Purple Eagles will take the course next for the fall 2017 season.
