ALBANY — The Niagara Purple Eagles were defeated by the Siena Saints, 7-0, on Sunday.

Niagara needed to win its final match of the regular season to be in contention for a spot in the four-team conference tournament. The Saints won the doubles point after winning in one and two doubles.
Siena earned wins in three and one singles before clinching the match with a three-set win in two singles.

Stella Peisakhova had her five-match win streak snapped. She finished with 14 singles wins, which are the most by a Purple Eagle in three seasons, and went 5-2 at No. 1 singles in conference matches.
