BUFFALO — The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for urban areas and small streams throughout Western New York. The new warning — upgraded from a watch — lasts until 10 p.m.
Some locations expected to experience flooding include Buffalo, Rochester, Greece, Cheektowaga, Irondequoit, NiagaraFalls, West Seneca, Batavia, Lockport, Warsaw, Jamestown, Collins, Salamanca, Wellsville, and North Tonawanda.
Highways that may be affected by flooding include Interstate 390 between exits 4 and 12.Interstate 90 between exits 61 and 46.Interstate 86 between exits 4 and 33.
The earlier tornado watch remains in effect until 10 p.m.
