CHMIEL – Thaddeus E. “Ted” of Buffalo, entered into rest on August 27, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Kobielski) Chmiel; devoted father of Thaddeus J. (Jacqueline Mattina) Chmiel, Phillip P. Chmiel and Eric M. (Jennifer Thompson) Chmiel; dearest Grampi of Brian J. Mattina-Chmiel, Bethany R. (fiance Justin Nelson) Mattina-Chmiel, Jacob P. Mattina-Chmiel and Jena M. Mattina-Chmiel; loving son of the late John and Agnes Chmiel; predeceased by 12 siblings; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews; also predeceased by his buddy, Mojo the dog.
Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., on Friday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Church, 33 Victoria Blvd. (corner of Delaware Ave.), Kenmore on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock (please assemble at church).
Mr. Chmiel was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
