ALEXANDER — New York State Police investigated a one-motorcycle crash that happened on Saturday, resulting in the death of a Pennsylvania man.
According to NYSP, Troopers out of SP Batavia responded to the collision on Broadway Road (SR 20). Further investigation reveals that a 2005 Harley Davidson was traveling eastbound on Broadway Road and was slowing for the intersection of State Route 98 to make a right turn.
The operator, Frank L. Eckart, 65 of Saegertown, Pa. lost control ejecting him and the 61-year-old passenger. Both occupants sustained serious injuries and were transported by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center.
On Sunday, 2019 the operator Eckart expired from his injuries.
