George Victor “Vic” Gardepe, entered into eternal rest January 9th, 2018 at the age of 81. Vic was born on February 13, 1936 in Youngstown, NY at Fort Niagara where his father was stationed at the time.

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Rose “Mosie” of 61 years, four children; Michael (Melody Pearce), Julie Granchelli (Jim), Steven (Brenda), Matthew (Nikki), 13 grandchildren Shannon Dent (Jason Mahnke), Meghann (Josh) Feigl, ReAnne (Daniel) Daylamani, Jaime Granchelli, Joseph Granchelli, Patrick Granchelli, Michaela Granchelli, Victoria Granchelli, James Granchelli II, Tylar Gardepe, Madison Gardepe, Mitchell Gardepe, & Amando Gasca. Five great grandchildren; Jaden Dent, Ella Feigl, Lila Feigl, Henry Feigl, & Michael Prosser. Also survived by his brother Edward (Carol) and his sister Evelyn Zietz , and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sydney and Ethel, his sisters Lois Keismer and Mary Francis Abel, and a grandchild Kristie Upton.

Vic lived in Lockport, NY for most of his life. He served in the United States Army in Korea for two years. He was an avid fisherman, boater, golfer and bowler. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Lock City Glee Club, The Masons, The Screwball Club, and was very active with the youth hockey programs at the Kenan Center. He was a big fan of the Buffalo Sabres and the Buffalo Bills. He worked at Harrison Radiator Division and EDS as a Systems Main Frame Computer Engineer and retired in 1998. He and Mosie then spent their summers at the “Green Bagel” on the lake in Lyndonville, NY and were snowbirds in Sarasota, FLA for many years enjoying their retirement. They moved back to Lockport, NY just one year ago to be with family.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, January 14th from 1:00-4:00pm at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 15th at 10:00am.
