NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Niagara women’s golf team begins its spring season this weekend, competing in three straight events. The Purple Eagles will participate in the 2018 Sand Ridge Shootout in Chardon, Ohio on Friday, April 13, and play dual matches with La Salle (April 14) and Saint Francis (April 15).

The Purple Eagles competed in three events and one dual match during the fall season. The team kicked off the season at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational Sept. 4-5, 2017. The team finished in sixth place overall and Emily Doyle led the Purple Eagles, tying for 14th place.

The team finished in third place at the Bucknell Invitational. Doyle again led Niagara, finishing in seventh place overall.

The Purple Eagles earned a sixth place finish at the Golden Grizzlies Invitational and were led by Sydney Shaw, who finished tied for seventh place.

Niagara closed out the fall season with a narrow 323-316 dual match loss to La Salle at Niagara Falls Country Club.
Niagara was tabbed eighth in the MAAC preseason coaches’ poll and will close out the spring season at the MAAC Championships in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. April 20-22.
