The Canisius baseball program returns back to the Buffalo for a three-game series with current MAAC leader, Quinnipiac at the Demske Sports Complex. First pitch on April 21 for the doubleheader is set for 2:30 with Sunday’s conclusion starting at noon.
GETTING STARTED
• Redshirt senior Christ Conley‘s on-base streak now stands at 22 straight games with his two hits and two walks on Wednesday
• Junior Conner Morro continued his now 15-game consecutive on-base streak with one hit on Wednesday.
• Senior Ryan Stekl has now appeared in 206 career games, tying him for seventh all-time in school history with Anthony Massicci (’16).
• With his four at-bats on Wednesday, Stekl has amassed 783 career at-bats, the second most in program history, passing Branson Joseph (’09).
A LOOK BACK AT LAST GAME
• The Griffs fell to West Virginia in a mid-week, non-conference April 18 by a score of 9-2.
• In the game, Conley recorded two hits and two walks as five other Griffs tallied a base hit.
ABOUT THE BOBCATS
• Quinnipiac is 16-19 on the year, holding a 11-18 record on the road.
• The Bobcats dropped eight-straight games mid-way through the season. Most recently the team was tripped up in non-conference play April 18 by Bryant, 9-8.
• The teams’ offense has been led by junior Brian Moskey, who is producing a .338 batting average with 45 hits in 133 at-bats to go along with 24 RBI and 26 runs scored.
• Sophomore Dylan Lutz and senior Ben Gibson also provide an offensive punch batting .317 and .295, respectively.
UP NEXT
Canisius returns to the field at home on April 24 as they face Kent State in the back end of a home-and-home. First pitch from the Demske Sports Complex is set for 3 p.m.
