BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo State students took first place in this year’s Adirondack Cup, a stock-picking contest for college students sponsored by Adirondack Research & Management. The Buffalo State team achieved a 31.75 percent return on a hypothetical million-dollar small-cap portfolio.

The Economics and Finance Department at Buffalo State embodies the college’s commitment to hands-on learning. In addition to two undergraduate programs and three minors, the department offers a master’s degree in applied economics.
