BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo State’s cheerleading squad will have new direction entering the 2018-19 season under first-year head coach and Buffalo State alum Stephanie Schroeder (’13).

Schroeder spent the past nine years coaching at her alma mater West Seneca West where she served as the varsity head coach since 2011.  Under her guidance, the Indians developed into one of the premier high school cheerleading programs in Section VI, including capturing five ECIC fall championships and seven winter titles.  Her teams also claimed three Section VI crowns and ar the only Division I school to earn three consecutive state championship bids.  Her squad also won a national title in 2014 at the Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM in Myrtle Beach.
