TORONTO, O.N. — Niagara forward Eric Cooley and defenseman Noah Delmas have been added to the Toronto Maple Leafs development camp roster. Both players reported to camp on June 25, while the first full team session will take place today, June 26, at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence.

Cooley is coming off a freshman season that saw him play in 34 of Niagara’s 36 games in 2017-18. The Pittsburgh, Penn. native finished tied for third on the team with 20 points (6 G, 14 A), leading all other freshmen. Additionally, Cooley was one of a program-record 25 players named to this season’s AHA All-Academic Team.

Delmas was an offensive catalyst from the blue line in his second season with the Purple Eagles. He played in each of Niagara’s 36 games last season, recording 30 points (4 G, 26 A) to lead all defenders in scoring. Delmas was also listed to the AHA’s 2017-18 All-Academic Team.

Cooley and Delmas will see at least one familiar face with them at camp. Former Purple Eagle Derian Plouffe, who led the team in scoring with 35 points (17 G, 18 A) in 2017-18, was also named to the Maple Leafs’ development camp roster. After finishing his senior season, Plouffe signed an Amateur Try-Out (ATO) with Toronto’s AHL affiliate, the Marlies He played in 10 regular season games for Toronto, tallying three points. On June 18, Plouffe was signed to a professional contract by the Marlies, who won their first Calder Cup just four days earlier.
