BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Canisius golf team will play in six fall tournaments, highlighted by the 65th Little Three Championship, head coach Todd Hummel announced Tuesday.

The Golden Griffins’ fall season will begin Sept. 8-9, when the team travels to take part in the Alex Lagowitz Memorial at Seven Oaks Golf Club on Colgate’s campus in Hamilton, N.Y. Canisius will return to the links just two days later, as the Blue and Gold serves as the host of the 65th Little Three Championship, one of the most played collegiate golf events in the country. The Little Three Championship, which pits the Griffs against long-time rivals Niagara and St. Bonaventure, will be played Sept. 11 at Crag Burn Golf Club in East Aurora, N.Y. This marks the first time Crag Burn has served as the host site for the longstanding 36-hole tournament.

For the 12th consecutive year, Canisius will be in the field at the Cornell Invitational, Sept. 15-16 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Ithaca, N.Y. After a week off, the Griffs will take part in the Matthews Auto Collegiate, hosted by Binghamton at the Links at Hiawatha in Apalachin, N.Y., before returning to the Bucknell Invitational. That event, which will be played at the Bucknell Golf Course, will be a 36-hole event running from Oct. 8-9.

Canisius will close out the fall schedule at the Titans Motown Collegiate, hosted by Detroit Mercy, Oct. 15-16.
