BOARDMAN, O.H. — The Niagara women’s golf team completed the first round of the Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Monday. The team is tied for sixth place after carding a total score of 321 (+33).
Sydney Shaw led the Purple Eagles, firing a 77 (+5). She finished round one tied for 16th place.
Samantha Bernardo shot a career-low 78 (+6) and is tied for 19th place after the first 18 holes of play.
In her collegiate debut, Susan Leone carded an 82 (+10) and is tied for 31st place.
Sarah Godfrey is tied for 39th place. She shot an 84 (+12) in round one.
Danielle Hopper carded an 89 (+17) and is in 49th place.
The Purple Eagles will play the final round of the tournament on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
