Hello Metalheads! This is John back with another single highlight. Pale Horizons released Transient Ties on July 24th, 2026. This is their second single as a brand new prog rock band.
I first found Pale Horizons on the subreddit prog and I immediately liked what I heard. Their first track Haven in the Hills was released on March 25, 2025. This track has super melodic guitar and bass work all over the place as instrumental passages. The passages with vocals are more chill but fit perfectly with the flourishes in between. The bass is way forward in the mix which I’m a huge fan of.
Now onto their new single Transient Ties! Very broadly speaking I really enjoyed this single. Pale Horizons have a very specific sound that I am picking up on even through just two singles. One of the kickers that found out while looking more into this band is that they worked with Jamie King on this. He has worked on some of my favorite albums, so now I’m extra excited for the full length!I am looking forward to the whole album when it drops, I will be covering it for sure!
