MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—Freshman Theo Pencic (Oslo, Norway/Heltberg) scored two of Buffalo State’s four first-half goals as the Bengals powered past host Morrisville State 5-0 to equal its best start to a season in more than 30 years

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trevor Moreland (Newfane/Newfane) opened the scoring in the 24th minute.
- Buffalo State added a marker in the 33rd minute by Ali Shawish (Lackawanna/Lackawanna), and then blew the game open with back-to-back goals by Pencic before the intermission.
- Buffalo State dialed back the pressure in the second half, but still managed to build on its lead when Robert Williamson (Fishkill/John Jay) tallied his second of the season in the 64th minute.
- Buffalo State finished the game with a 14-8 advantage in shots, including a 9-2 margin in the first half.
- Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) finished with six saves for his third shutout of the season.

- Carter D’Agostino finished with five saves for the Mustangs.
NOTEWORTHY
- Buffalo State is 4-0 for just the second time since the 1980s, matching its start in 2015.
