ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Previously unbeaten Buffalo State suffered its first setback of the season tonight, dropping a 2-0 decision at the University of Rochester, conceding more than one goal for the first time this year.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Rochester opened the scoring in the 19th minute on a scramble in the box from six yards out. 
  • The Yellowjackets extended their lead in the 59th minute, converting on a penalty kick.
  • Buffalo State was unable to breakthrough despite a 10-7 advantage in shot attempts, including 5-2 in the second half.
  • Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) made three saves in the loss.

 
FOR THE FOES

  • Josh Cooley and Bryce Ikeda scored for the Yellowjackets.
  • Patrick Conway finished with five saves for the shutout.
