James C. Bloomquist entered into rest unexpectedly Saturday November 29, 2025. born December 15, 1971, he was the son of the late Clarence Bloomquist, late Steven and Barbara (Williams) Marszalkowski.
Jim served in the U.S. Air Force from 1991-1999, where he received the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. His Military Education included Airman Leadership School, Aerospace Maintenance Apprentice Course, and Advanced Aerospace Maintenance course.
He worked at GP 50 in Grand Island for 20 years where he was a Mechanical Engineer and Supervisor in the Aero Space Dept.
Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed 4 wheeling, played bocce and was a member of of the Ontario Shores Flyers Club, where he flew power airplanes. He enjoyed time spent with family, camping and valued Sunday dinners and the eve’s of every holiday filled with love, laughter, and joy.
Beloved husband of Dawn B. Bloomquist. Beloved father of Daniel M. Duzy, Kali L.E Bloomquist and Jessica (Jake) Kunch. Cherished grandfather of London, Sawyer, Gianna, Analia, Amari and Colton. Dear brother of Christine (late Kevin) Lockhart, Michael Marszalkowski, Melissa O’Brien and the late Charles (Chuck) and Clarence (Butch) Bloomquist. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Sunday December 14, 2025 from 2-5 at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara Street Lockport NY, where Military Funeral Honors will be held at 5:00 pm. Inurnment at the WNY Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date.
