
Rocco Notte, 65, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at Niagara Hospice House, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Macchiagodena, Italy, Rocco was the son of the late Filippo and Emilia (Perrella) Notte.
Rocco spent his early years in Italy before relocating to Canada and eventually immigrating to the United States in the early 1990s. On July 23, 1983, he married the love of his life, Teresa (Barile) Notte, at the former Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls.
Through many hard-working years, Rocco became an executive Chef and successful restaurateur, owning his first restaurant, Quo Vadis in Toronto, Canada. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Rocco found his way to Virginia, where he proudly owned and operated Little Angela’s Ristorante in Glen Allen. Later, he returned to Western New York, settling in Youngstown, NY.
A man of many talents, Rocco was known for his remarkable artistic skills to include drawing, designing and carpentry. A natural handyman, Rocco was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was also an avid soccer and hockey fan, having played soccer in his younger years, and remaining a devoted follower of the sport throughout his life. Rocco was also a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he enjoyed watching every game with his family.
Above all, Rocco deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
In addition to his wife, Teresa, he is survived by his three beloved children, Philip (Karen) Notte, Amanda (Alexander) Ruckh and Matthew Notte; his loving grandchildren, Sofia, Liliana, Luca, Maverick and Pierce; his sister, Angela (Michele) Pisano, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Giuseppe (Anna) Notte
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 11 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Rocco’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard’s Church, 218 Hinman St. Youngstown, NY, 14174. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Memorial offerings in Rocco’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org.
