
Montgomery, N.Y. — The Niagara Cross Country teams wrapped up their seasons with strong efforts at the MAAC Championships, finishing 11th overall at the scenic Twin Ponds on the Farm Trail in Montgomery, New York.
On the women’s side, sophomore Alexa Briggs continued to pace the Purple Eagles, leading the team in the 6K with a time of 22:19.5. She was followed by sophomore Olivia Meier at 23:14.5, while freshman Haley Haskett impressed in her championship debut with a 23:33.7 finish. Freshman Ryanna Brady (24:18.9) and sophomore Mercedez Covey (24:31.5) rounded out Niagara’s top five, showcasing a promising mix of underclass talent.
On the men’s side, senior Caleb Noble closed out his MAAC career as Niagara’s top finisher, clocking a time of 26:15.7 in the 8K. Freshman Ryan Capo continued to shine in his debut season with a 26:51.0, followed closely by junior Luc Diflavio (27:01.2) and junior Caleb Harrmen (27:04.3). Freshman Chase Bolen capped the team scoring just a second later at 27:05.6, highlighting a tight pack finish for the Purple Eagles.
