John L. DuFour, 71, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on October 8, 2025, at his cherished hunting cabin in Burns, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Clemmie M. (Williams) DuFour.
John was a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. On September 23, 1978, he married the love of his life, Linda J. (Swearengen) DuFour, in Youngstown, NY. Together they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage.
John was the proud owner and operator of Gray Furnace Service in the Town of Niagara for 53 years until his retirement in 2021. Through his work, he built countless lifelong customer relationships and friendships.
He was a longtime member of the Gearheads Car Club of Niagara Falls, loved racing cars at Ransomville Speedway, and was a devoted NASCAR fan and MOPAR enthusiast. A passionate Buffalo Bills supporter, John also dedicated ten years to coaching his son Nicholas in the Grand Niagara Hockey League. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed deer hunting and spending time at his cabin. Above all, his greatest joy in life was his grandchildren, whom he treasured deeply.
In addition to his beloved wife, Linda J. DuFour; John is survived by his daughter, Stacey DuFour, and her children Lydia, Kailyn, Alina, and Harley Jr.; his son, Nicholas (Linnea) DuFour, and their children Aubrey, Nora, and Vivian; and his sister, Brenda DuFour. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will follow at 7 PM.
