Michele C. Ziegler, of Lockport, NY, known lovingly by friends and family as “Mush” or “Ziggy,” passed away October 9, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on October 7, 1955, Michele was a proud graduate of Lockport High School and the daughter of the late Robert Clark Sr. and Ruth (Simmons) Clark.

Michele dedicated her life to caring for others. She earned her RN from Niagara County Community College in 1990 and spent the majority of her nursing career bringing compassion and comfort to mothers and babies in Labor & Delivery. She worked for many years at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital before continuing her service at Eastern Niagara Hospital (ENH), retiring in 2015, her vibrant personality and work ethic made lasting impressions.

She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved best friend and cousin, Tina Jordan, whose memory remained close to her heart.

Michele is survived by her brother Robert (Teresa) Clark Jr., nieces Charlene Turk and Holly (Nick) Bailey; and great-nieces Harper Turk and Eleanore Bailey, all of whom she deeply loved and took pride in. She is also survived by several cousins and extended relatives.

A true lover of life, Michele found joy in traveling, attending concerts, and immersing herself in the music that moved her soul. A devoted Pearl Jam fan, she shared unforgettable moments with her “Jamily” from Boston—Nichole, John, and Lucy Molitor—whom she held dear and adored like family.

Her heart was also full of love for her cherished fur babies, Max and Ziva, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.

Michele will be remembered for her quick wit, big heart, fierce loyalty, and the deep connections she formed with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and strength lives on in the many lives she touched.

Private services will be held at later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Niagara County SPCA in her honor.
