
BUFFALO – The Buffalo State women’s basketball team has announced their upcoming schedule for the 2025-26 season. First year head coach Scott Foster is ready to take over the program and build a new culture as the Bengals look to reach the postseason for the first time since the 2021-22 season.
Buffalo State will open the season on the road as they will travel to Alfred University (Nov. 11) before heading to Rochester to battle Nazareth (Nov. 14). Buffalo State will then return for their home opener against Keuka at 5:30 pm in the Sports Arena (Nov. 19) before hosting Thiel (Nov. 24) and Hartwick (Dec. 2).
Foster’s squad will begin their SUNYAC schedule on the road as they will head to Potsdam (Dec. 5) and Plattsburgh (Dec. 6) before finishing their non-conference schedule hosting Hilbert (Dec. 10) and Houghton (Dec. 13) to close out 2025.
After the New Year, the Bengals will finish the regular season with 16 SUNYAC contests. Buffalo State will host Morrisville (Jan. 6) before traveling to Fredonia (Jan. 9) and Cortland (Jan. 13). The team will then host Oneonta (Jan. 16) and New Paltz (Jan. 17) before heading out to Morrisville to battle the Mustangs (Jan. 20).
The Bengals will stay in Buffalo for six of eight games with matchups against Oswego (Jan. 23), Canton (Jan. 24), Cortland (Jan. 27), Fredonia (Jan. 30), Plattsburgh (Feb. 13), and Potsdam (Feb. 14). The two road matchups will feature New Paltz (Feb. 6) and Oneonta (Feb. 7). Foster as his team will finish the regular season on the road at Canton (Feb. 20) and Oswego (Feb. 21).
The SUNYAC Tournament is set to run from February 24-28 with a first round, semifinal, and championship game format. Cortland enters the season as the reigning-conference champions, defeating New Paltz 68-49 in the championship.
