
BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women’s wrestling team, led by first year head coach Thomas Shifflet, has announced its schedule for the 2025-26 season. In year two of action, the Bengals will compete in eight matches before competing in the AMCC Invitationals and potentially the NCWWC Regional and National Championships.
The Bengals will open their season at the John Carroll Round Robin (Nov. 2) before heading to the Ithaca Tri-Match (Nov. 12) and back to John Carroll (Nov. 23). Buffalo State will then head to Penn State-Altoona for the AMCC Duals (Dec. 6) before hosting their lone tri-match of the season with Ithaca and Utica (Jan. 4).
Shifflet’s team will then return to the mats for the Alfred State Open (Jan. 11) and then a tri-match with D’Youville and Western New England (Jan. 24) and another tri-match with Utica and East Stroudsburg (Jan. 31).
Buffalo State will then enter postseason play with the AMCC Invitational (Feb. 7). Those who qualify will then compete at NCWWC Regionals (Feb. 20-21) and NCWWC Nationals (Mar. 7-8).
The Bengals finished 5-8 in their inaugural season in 2024-25 and finished third at the AMCC Invitational.
