BUFFALO STATE ATHLETICS
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Alexis Hanson (New York/West Broward) netted her second goal of the season and Taylor Carillo(Pine Bush/Pine Bush) registered her third shutout as Buffalo State notched its first SUNYAC win of the season with a 1-0 victory over visiting Oneonta on Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophia Perrothers (West Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) finished with her first assist of the season.
- Buffalo State opened the scoring in the seventh minute of the contest as Perrothers gained control of a floated ball into the 18-yard box by Paige Bly (Kings Park/Kings Park) and passed to Hanson who pushed the ball past the Oneonta keeper.
- Oneonta responded with two shots near the end of the first half, but couldn’t break through as the score remained 1-0 at halftime.
- The Bengals and the Red Dragons battled for much of the second half accounting for 31 total fouls in the game.
- Oneonta had its best scoring change late in 87th minute, as Christina Kornfield had a one-on-one break with Carillo, who made one of her three saves en route to the shutout.

- Jolene Krom finished with two saves for the Red Dragons.
NOTEWORTHY
- With the shutout against Oneonta, Buffalo State goalie Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) notched her seventeenth career shutout and is now only three away from breaking the all-time record set by Sue Hough in 1984.
