WHEATFIELD – On October 2, 2025, at 0644hrs, The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the Town of Wheatfield.
Preliminary investigation showed that a 2021 Jeep SUV was traveling northbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard, when it struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered trauma from the collision and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the pedestrian is being withheld at this time until notification to family can be made. The driver of the Jeep is fully cooperating with police. The investigation into the incident in continuing by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit and Criminal Investigation Bureau.
