Susan R. Nutt, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Nutt and Anne Eleanor (Pylipow) Nutt.
Susan was a graduate of Olean High School and earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in teaching from Buffalo State College. She dedicated 33 years of service as an elementary school teacher in the Niagara Falls School District before retiring.
Sue was a proud member of the Retired Teachers Association, College Club – Kitchen Gourmet, and Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority. In her earlier years, she enjoyed golfing with the Wednesday Nines Golf League, bowling in the ABC Bowling League, and playing Bocce. She cherished time spent with family and friends and looked forward to seasonal outings and activities.
Sue is survived by several nieces and nephews, her lifelong friend Connie Borgese, and her “Besties,” Layla and Liana. She was predeceased by her sisters, Thalia A. (Douglas) Cooper and Kay R. (Robert) Wood.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
