Stephen M. Perry, 61, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025. Born in Lackawanna, NY, he was the cherished son of the late Jerome S. and Marie G. (Longo) Perry.

Steve was raised in Grand Island, NY, where he graduated from Grand Island High School and later earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Design from the University at Buffalo.

A gifted artist and painter, Stephen poured his creativity into every facet of his life. He currently was employed as a graphic artist at Insty-Prints in Kenmore, NY, a role he deeply loved. His artistic legacy includes designing album covers for friends’ bands, each one a testament to his eye for detail and passion for music.

Steve had a passion for music and was an excellent guitarist and songwriter. He was also a lead guitarist in the former local bands, Veil, Zig Zag, and The Sins.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Stephen had a profound love for animals, especially rescuing dogs and cats. Above all, he cherished the moments shared with family, most especially with his beloved companion of many years, Cheryl Cooney, whose presence filled his life with profound joy and love.

In addition to Cheryl, Stephen is survived by his step-daughter, Marissa Gritzke, and her son, Jacob Baksh, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Along with his parents, he was sadly predeceased by his sister, Michele “Shelly” Perry.
