Ronald K. Jones, 82, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2025, with his loving wife of 61 years, Lena Jones (Napolitano), by his side.
Born on February 26, 1943, Ron built a life grounded in hard work, deep family values, and quiet strength. He worked as a specification writer at CannonDesign for over 40 years, where he was admired for his dedication, precision, and caring for his team. Ron had a strong work ethic and was the kind of person who could fix anything—traits he not only lived by but passed down to his children and grandchildren.
Ron was a man of many passions. He loved hunting and spending time outdoors. He cherished his Corvette and enjoyed going to car shows with friends, who became like family over the years. He loved the Buffalo Bills and rarely missed a game. Whether it was heading out for a movie, grabbing coffee, Sunday Family breakfasts, or simply enjoying a meal together, Ron deeply valued the time spent with those close to him.
Family was the heart of Ron’s world. He is survived by his devoted wife Lena and their four daughters: Christine Morreale (Robert/Bob); Cathy Jones; Jennifer Drake (Aaron); and Janelle Finn (Bartley J. Jr.). He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren, with whom he shared unique and cherished bonds, and a great-grandfather to 9 beautiful great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters Bonnie Berak and Patricia Velky, and his brother Michael Rees. He was preceded in death by his siblings Richard Jones and Barbara Keenen and his parents, Ernie and Betty Jones.
Ron lived for his family—supporting them in every way possible and always putting them first.
His legacy is one of generosity, strength, loyalty, and love—a man who worked tirelessly to give his family the best life possible. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26 from 3- 8 PM at M.J. Colucci and Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Ron’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27 at 11:30 AM in St. Christopher’s Church,
2660 Niagara Falls Blvd, Tonawanda, NY 14150. Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.
