John O. Beaman, 68, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 14, 2025 at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Hamp L. Welch and Twynette (Bradley) Beaman.
John proudly served in the Unites States Marine Corps from 1975 until his honorable discharge in 1977. He was employed as Sous Chef at various hotels in Grand Island, NY and Niagara Falls, NY for over 30 years, most recently at the Sheraton Hotel in Niagara Falls. On September 30, 2006, John married Nancy J. (Lane) Beaman in Niagara Falls, NY. John loved to drive around in his car and listen to music, especially Prince, and was also an avid fan of wrestling. He was a skilled cook and caterer, but above all, cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandbabies.
In addition to his wife of 18 years, John is survived by his children, Yazmeinda Beaman, Jazmine Beaman, and John O. Beaman II; his step-children, Brandi (Kyle) Meyers and Shaqulia (fiance’ Wille Fair) Lane; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; his siblings, Annette Beaman, Gail Harris, Bishop Silvester (Renee) Beaman, Tyrone Beaman, Maurice Beaman, Lecia Parmer, Joel Beaman, Rod Welch, and Vauncille Welch, as well as by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was sadly predeceased by his step-son, TreVon D.M. Streeter, and his brothers, Henry Beaman and Todd Welch.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20 from 2 – 5 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 5 PM, concluding with Military Honors.
