On August 11, 2025, Robert James ‘Bob’ Seyler, 77, of Ransomville, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born in Niagara Falls on April 26, 1948, he was the son of the late John and Emilia ‘Amy’ (Bax) Seyler, who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, John, and John’s wife, Patricia. Bob is survived by his wife, Lois (Moehrle) Seyler, his children, Cynthia, Brenda, Douglas Seyler, and grandson, Justin. He is also survived by his siblings, Beverly (Guy Christopher), Diana Strablow, Linda Seyler, and Annette Seyler (Ed Anderson), as well many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob graduated from Niagara University, and became a Certified Public Accountant. He was employed with Peat Marwick and Mitchell, C.H. Heist, and Quackenbush, all located in Buffalo, NY. He augmented his professional life with a love of farming with Lois for over 50 years, during which countless trips to market were made for their Seyler Farms stand. He was a lifetime member of the 3F Club, where he served as treasurer for many years. His love for family was perhaps most evident as he organized summer camping trips to the Adirondacks for many decades. These annual gatherings began when John and Emilia packed up their children, tent and camping gear each summer and later grew into a multi-generational family tradition that carried on through 2024.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304. Bob’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY 14131.
