The Niagara Falls Americans fell behind early in Thursday night’s game against the Auburn Doubledays with the visiting team scoring five runs in the second inning.
Auburn didn’t let up, scoring another un in the fourth, seventh and eighth innings. And three more in the top of the ninth for an 11-0 lead.
It would take a major miracle for the Americans to continue their perfect record. Unfortunately, they only had a minor miracle up their sleeves.
The Americans scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth, falling 11-5 at Sal Maglie Stadium.
