On 06/09/2025, at about 10:56 a.m., the Lockport Police Department responded to the area of the Lockport Railroad Bridge for a report of a party that had jumped off the bridge.
When police arrived on scene, a deceased person was located at the base of the bridge near the canal path. The Niagara County Coroner’s Office was contacted and the deceased party was transported to the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Lockport Police Dept. Detective Division is currently conducting an investigation into this incident. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending the police investigation. Notification has been made to the family of the deceased.
